I'm not surprised about your husband as there are many buffs all over. I'm a bit of a buff, too, but my brother is heavy into the research. After the Hunley funeral, I thought that was a once in a lifetime thing. A couple of years later, however, remains were found on board the CSS Alabama, off the coast of France. There was a big funeral for that crewman in Mobile, which I also attended.

These pics are from Mobile. The Hunley funeral was much bigger but I didn't have a digital camera then so all my pics are on prints and not in my computer.
