Little profit is made when proper care and concern is given to the dogs you are breeding as well as the pups you are selling, however, Big profit is made when the welfare of the dogs you breed or pups you sell is not your priority. on the ss..lord im helping my mil (and i ll put it this way "we aint close"..lol) she gets 1689.00 for her self..and she has never managed bills in the 3 months after her husband died she was in foreclosure...plus all the cc damange..argh! now im managing them but i cant get her caught up, i cant pay her debt not on her funds..she will have to stay behind until something changes or some magic money shows up..now she isnt a breeder or anything but im postive then even if some one on a fixed income profits $500.00 extra that month it probably helps alot..i dont think its fair that someone who receives a small govt check cant have some kind of small income whether they are working from home online or sitting in a chair behind a cash registered..but thats a totally different subject...
im really not trying to start a debate on the selling/making money on puppies
but i think if you are breeding for yourself , your line, showing you are probably in the hole..understandably
but for the breeders that sell to the general public...they make some money..and im sure they wont say it because they will be told that they are doing it correctly..but breeding and selling..unless they have big unexcpected exspense they pocket some money.. and im grateful there are breeders that sell to the general public...im blessed with my 3 and as im sure alot of others feel blessed with theres..
