 Spicy's eye surgery went great!! Pictures.....
She went in to surgery at 10:00 am on the 7th and I picked her up at 2:00pm same day. She only had about 30% of the protein that holds the lens on in her left eye, so she didn't get a new lens on that one, but they did laser the cataract out of both eyes and she will be able to see perfectly in just days. Dr. da Silva said the center of the eye has crystal clear fluid, but in her eyes it's like you put a couple drops of milk in each, but they clear up in a week or so. She seems to see everything perfectly, and she acts so happy it's amazing! She has to wear the plastic cone for two weeks and confined. No jumping, running, barking and such. She has to say calm.
The picture of her with the expen behind her was taken just hours after surgery. The rest I took when we got home. In one, you can see how she's peeping thru the expen watching my husband in the kitchen. I finally took the blanket off the pen. I had put it there to keep her from trying to climb. |
