Yeah, it's safer to have them always leashed, but Uni is more alert and listens better when she is off leash in a familiar area. In an unfamiliar area I would not try to take her off leash. Also if there are kids in the distance, I would not take her off leash. She loves kids and would run to them. Ok, so maybe she is not better off leash. Oh sigh.
