You mean luxating patella? What grade is it? I don't know how old your Rily is but if he is still a puppy it can improve, or go away. Hopefully losing some weight will help. I have never heard of it making a dog lethargic however, or even "lazy", unless they are in pain. Could something else be going on too?

I sure hope he feels better soon though..
