that is so insane that an adult would just walk up and pick up a dog - or let their child do it! i won't even let my kids approach dogs. if we're close to someone with a dog, i tell them no when they get excited and start approaching....and usually the owner will say, "they can pet him/her if you don't mind." that's when i let them and only then - but they still don't pick them up. that's just weird.
people used to ask to hold my kids when they were babies and i would just say NO. |
