Try practicing inside using a ball and throwing it to him and telling him to bring it back. Praising him or giving him a treat when he brings it back. Always use his name when he grabs the ball up "GOOD BOY REESIE!!! BRING IT BACK!" We did this with Shea and not even meaning to make this work so well outside, but it really does! She is so good outside. Surprisingly enough. Even at the dog park we can throw her something and she will bring it right back. Give it a try! Let us know how it goes
