The responsible breeders that sell these pups, do so with a limited registration and the pups are spayed or neutered before ever leaving the breeder and also come with a health guarantee. If a dog is not fit to breed then a responsibile breeder will make sure that it does not happen. Just take a look at their dogs, they speak for themselves.

Actually one of my dogs that people love the most is a tiny chihuahua that was the runt of the litter. She weighs 2 1/2 lbs grown and a "Hobby" breeder gave her to me free. She didn't try to gouge me for $1500.00 for a "teacup". She wanted her to have a good home with someone familiar with the breed and she told me to take her home and take care of her.

I stand by the fact that some really nice dogs can come from a pet breeder and that there are many nice people that have done this. There are also a lot of losers but I have met "reputable breeders" that I don't like or trust either. The people are NICE, and the losers that you speak of are probably not responsible breeders, they are very few and far between. But, the nice pet breeders are not breeding to standard, and while you and I and many others have our dogs because of it, many, many, many more are suffering horrific medical conditions, genetic defects, and being dumped in shelters and on the side of the road because of it. There has to be a line drawn somewhere so no more innocent animals suffer.

Glad you didn't fall for the Teacup line, there is no such thing.

Your little pup is the favorite because she small and cute, the more tiny they are the more they can "stay a puppy forever" in most peoples eyes.

I just can't pigeon hole every single person with a wave of my hand even if I am very judgemental.
It's ok to not pigeon hole every single person, but standing up for innocent pups when there is a risk to their life is an important matter.

The more you stay around here and research responsible breeding the more you will cherish your pups, when I first started learning about breeding ( I AM NOT A BREEDER AND HAVE NEVER BREAD A NY ANIMAL) it was all like a foreign language to me. Now I know a little, but enough to know the difference between right and wrong.

We are all here because we have yorkies in common.
