It sounds like you are doing the right thing then... just do not feed wet food for awhile maybe? Perhaps it is fattening? Speak to your vet best!! Maybe she is not fat but her hair is a lot so she appears to be fat?
when you touch her between her thighs, is there flabby mushy meat?
