Yup, it's out. I think it went straight to DVD though. Gere is in it and Jason Alexander (I think that's his name). A really simple plot basically just showing the bond between a man and his dog. The dog was played by an Akita, just like the real like Hachiko.
I would definitely check it out! Any dog lover must watch and it's known to have grown men in tears
