Wylie's Mom suggested I use Dogzymes. It is naturally occurring probiotics, digestive bacteria, enzymes, and prebiotics made for dogs. She says to use the kind made for dogs as the kind made for humans may not function as expected in the dog's system due to differences in stomach acids. I believe that the Prebiotics cause this product to remain in the gut 24/7 if dosed daily, allowing it to be dosed with the food instead of prior to feeding. In a normally functioning system, they would all be present at the same time, bacteria remains in the gut, enzymes introduced as food is eaten, triggering the pancreas to release enzymes and the gall bladder to release bile to aid digestion.
