my dog isn't a yorkie - for the record.
secondly, if i do get a fence, i would also have a doggy door so she could get inside anytime she wanted or needed to.
i really wouldn't be concerned about wild animals in the middle of the day when i'm home and my dog could run inside.
she's an inside dog, so it would mostly be so that she couldn't run into the road when we're outside together (gives a little more peace of mind when swimming, barbequeing, or running inside to pee). also, she would be able to go out and potty in the case i am in the shower or bathing my children - without worrying about her getting ran over.
i'm going to try the dog pen first and see how it works, but the fence isn't out of the question for me. i'm still undecided. |
