It is really suspicious, and it has the opposite effect that they intend it to have. It only makes them look worse. And, if someone is looking on the internet trying to find a puppy and investigates this breeder, all of these people "coming out of the ether" to give "praise" only creates more "hits" that draw more attention to the undesirable information.
They would be better off keeping their mouths shut, especially if this is going to court, it will all be decided there, not on some website. First rule of holes: When you are in one, stop digging.
