After I learned more about breeding, I decided that neutering was the best idea for Joey, I want to keep him a playful little boy, and not a raging teenager only interested in other girls! Seriously, unneutered dogs run away much more frequently, and death by injures caused in a car accident is the number one cause of death for unneutered dogs. If you're neutering soon, you ought to ask the vet to extract any remaining baby teeth. Yorkies have a hard time losing all the baby teeth on their own, and if a vet does it later they will have to put the dog under anesthesia again, so it's best to get this done at the same time as neutering. Best of luck, Joey was feeling good a couple days after surgery.

The link Mardelin posted is excellent and can answer so many questions.
