We have at least 2 events per month that I transport dogs to, I travel to shelters, pick up surrenders, do transports, travel to vet appts (which I might add that I live 25 miles from them so is at least a 50 mile round trip), let alone make donations to the rescue by paying for things the doggies need that the rescue might otherwise not be able to provide. I really didn't mean to create a discussion about any of this. Guess I will try it and see what happens. If I am the one to get audited I can let you all know not to do it! Thank you to those that gave me some of the links. I will provide that information to my CPA and go from there.
Jen, I think you know exactly what I do and what is involved and Thank you for your input. No, I would never claim anything that I provide for my personal dogs. But having anywhere from 3-4 fosters at a time and all the traveling that I do might be somthing to look into. Oh and BTW, I still have little Roxy and have become very attached to her. It has taken forever to get her healthy but she is on the road now. She is feeling so much better now that she has begun to play with the others even with those bad legs. |
You seem upset. I hope you didn't take offense to anything I said. That was certainly not my intension. Like I said, "I don't know" but I doubted it. |
