My baby has mucous on her stools at times. It is very slimy and thick. The vet gave me some medicine to help her. She likes to eat weeds when she goes outside and it's hard to stop her from doing this. I know when I have given her some human food, it can cause digestive tract problems. The vet said her intestines are irritated when this happens. I would call my vet if I were you and see what help they can offer. Also, take a sample of the stool and mucous to him in a baggie.
