I would say that as long as they see each other frequently that they'd be just fine.

We had a blk Lab, 2 cats, and a cockatiel and they all got along just fine. Funny how they know that they're family and not prey. Our bird's cage door was left open at all times with a 3 ft ladder up to it. It would come down - at will - and walk around. None of them went after each other.
