I would worry about hawks, eagles and coyotes or other dogs. You are in the country, not the city. I live in a cul-de-sac with houses and school near buy and my Gigio was taken out of my yard by a coyote. I have also seen hawks and eagles.
Maybe think about a dog run with the top covered.
