Sofia is 2.5lbs at 10 months old. She has had no health problems, but you need to have a vet who knows how to care for the small ones. They must understand anesthesia for the little ones and medications sometimes need modifications due to their size. You will have to have a safe place, ie playpen or x-pen to confine your baby when there are a lot of people around or if you need to leave them alone. I thought Sofia was going to be a little bigger, And she may gain a little more, but it wont be much. I love the fact that she is not problem to carry around everywhere I go. She doesn't know that she is small, she thinks she's in charge and she is my protector. No matter what size the puppy is it could have health problems, all you can do is check out the breeder and take a leap of faith.
