I would ask the breeder if they test for Liver shunts. My Teddi is 3 lbs and she had a liver shunt because I'm sure the breeer didn't test for it. Although I see that you happen to live in Tennessee so that's the best place to live. We went from California to Tennessee to have surgery at UT!! I know plenty of people who have dogs under 4 lbs and most are completely healthy!! Is the breeder someone who is on YT? I would trust the breeders that are on here because they are very knowledgeable!
