We have a dog door that doesn't actually go outside. It goes from the main part of the house to the cat room. We put in in so the cats could go back and forth without leaving the door open.
I have never tried to get Bella to use the doggie door and I am not sure when she mastered it but last night I was watching tv and I heard the dog flap. I counted heads and realized Bella was the only one missing. Sure enough a minute later she walked back in and went back and forth a couple of times! Nothing seems to really frighten her. I think what drew her out was the smell of cat food. It's a good thing that the food is blocked or she would be out there pigging out. At least she hasn't found a way to get to it YET.

She is as smart as a whip, I am sure she is going to keep us on our toes.
