I would also suggest toys that really keep him busy. Make him work for his treats with toys where you stuff the treats inside. Kong has a great one and there are ball they have to roll around until the treats fall out. Also instead of throwing the treats on the floor try hiding them all around the area. Make him search for them. By the time he is done with all of these maybe he will be too tired out to bark and his mind will have been off of you for a while.
