I am kinda the last person to give any advice as I don't even have a yorkie yet, BUT there was a thread similar to this not too long ago and I think someone suggest practicing leaving with the dog. During the day when you're not really leaving, try going out the door for a few seconds then coming back, once they're ok with that making it a little longer, but coming back in a short time frame . . . Maybe someone remembers the post? The advice sounded really good to me! I think the goal was to get the dog to not freak out when you walk out the door. I'll take a look around and see if I can find the thread.
