The vet is saying kennel cough is required? Did they explain that? It's actually a non-core vaccine. Is there a reason this practice requires KC vaccine prior to surgery? If yes, I'd really be wondering about their infectious disease control . I would be really concerned if a vet required a KC as a requirement prior to surgery.

As for age, that's really debatable (and for a lot of different reasons too). Many people w/ yorkies will wait until they're sure that all teething is complete - bc when your baby is under anesthesia, this is also the time to remove all retained baby teeth.
