hmm I know with cats people can put double sided tape or foil paper were they do NOT want the cat to jump or scratch?? you can always try vinegar to repulse him from the area?? goodluck... I know bailey lays on the back of the sofa like a cat but it is against the wall so I am not afraid of her falling off.
