Both of mine get summer cuts. I live in southeast TX and it gets really hot from about mid-April through Nov. They seem more comfortable with a summer cut and it grows back. Buster's coat grows much slower than Maggie's but then he doesn't like to be brushed so that works out ok. In fact it's about time for their summer cut!
