thank you all for your kind words and the congrats! i'm feeling like a banny rooster here...ha ha...if i had plumage, it would be straight up! these pups are really tiny, which worries me a bit...the last litter she had, her pups averaged 5 1/2 oz at birth, i dont know why these are smaller, i used the same 4 lb stud with her each breeding because the two of them produced real beauties, coat and stucture... and temperaments of their babies has been excellent in the past. thanksgiving is going to be short and sweet for me...lol... i will not be gone very long.

there was some rejection of the pups for the first 8 hours after the last babe arrived. that scared me to death. now, she has settled in with them and is nursing, pooping/peeing with little assistance from me. she would not stimulate them for a while after they arrived so my daughter and I did that for her. tonight, however, she seems to be very interested in them. i am assuming that with her labor having to be induced and the hard time she had, that she didnt have the strength or desire to even mess with them at first. this was really a hard labor. i can't express that enough to you guys. it really had me in shambles. she has an appt on monday with the babies to have a "going over". judi, "baili's mom" has dibs on the little girl and i have grown to love judi to death...she is a special lady. a very sweet lady i met named rose has dibs on a boy. i have one more litter due on dec 2nd from my truly beautiful girl, rio. she is so huge now and that worries me. gosh, it's seems all i'm ever doing is worrying over my babies...but i guess it goes along with the territory if you are passionate about this as i am. thank you all for your support and a BIG THANKS goes to all the wonderful breeders here (kim txshopper, kim feminivstr, pat yorkierose, kathy wnalegria and i can't leave you out "topknot" for your truly sweet emails and helping me research my pedigrees better!) you've all been so kind and sweet to answer my ~silly~ questions in the past and to just respond when i was feeling confused about something. you guys are great and i wish you all the best!
