My show dogs, well for obvious reasons, I have in an envelope in my grooming bag.....

Dog license is required by law, however, when one is intent on taking your yorkie....they'll just take that collar off. I have nothing on my dogs that identifies them by name....

Many of our members have had tragic experiences with collars, especially with tags hanging down. Whether or not the collars are properly fitted will not prevent tags from becoming caught in a floor heating vent, a chain link fence, or even more tragically a paper shredder.

A "D" ring on a harness is the only thing I will put on my Yorkies. I just wouldn't take a chance at all!
Collars can shift & move depending on so many factors and it's just not a risk I'm willing to take with little Yorkies.
Crosley is almost 18lbs and she does wear a collar, but we still only walk her with a harness.
