This might be your personal experience, but each of the 60,000+ members of YorkieTalk has their own personal experiences, opinions, ideas. Whether or not you choose to allow your dog to wear a collar is a personal choice and each one of us has to make an educated decision, weighing the dangers against the benefits. Tags and licenses can just as easily be attached to "D" rings on a harness.

Many of our members have had tragic experiences with collars, especially with tags hanging down. Whether or not the collars are properly fitted will not prevent tags from becoming caught in a floor heating vent, a chain link fence, or even more tragically a paper shredder.
