That DNA test is very accurate
What was the other 10%? Yorkie? |
Ha really? She really doesn't act like one, and her hair is cut down in those pictures so you can't really see...but when her coat grows out it is very fine and long with a silk texture. Her mom is so obviously a shih tzu in every way, but she looks nothing like her mom...so that's what made us think not all shih tzu. We know she's a BIG part shih tzu because she does have a lot of characteristics of a tzu, but just don't think she is THAT much of one. Her mom is about 13 lbs, she is about 20 lbs lol. Of course as a Yorkie breeder I am fully aware that puppies can turn out quite different from their parents, so it's very possible you are right.
The other 10% was undetermined...they couldn't say what else was in there so I don't know what that means.
Also, I made a mistake...it wasn't the wisdom panel...it was this:
Amazon.com: BioPet DNA Breed Identification Kit:... . Maybe we should do a real wisdom panel to see if that makes a difference?
