We have an 24/7 pet emergency hospital here that's pretty reasonable, but I guess it's a lot like when you have to go to the ER. It's probably going to cost you about $1500 when you walk in the door.

Just remember pet insurance doesn't work like our insurance does. Veterinary ER clinics do not take insurance like hospitals do. You still have to pay the bill upfront, then submit the forms and wait to be reimbursed from the insurance company.
