There's no "rule." It's whatever you're comfortable with. Of course, always be cautious. Bigger dogs, especially when they're puppies, sometimes don't know their own strength. But if they grow up together it's usually fine! Jackson gets along great with my grandma's 90lb Lab, and my aunt's 70lb Pit Bull.
