I have a question about the westie cut.
I've been trying to do this with Derby, but I am having a hard time with the face. I do it myself because we can't afford the groomers, so you can imagine how this is going... trial and error! lol!
Derby's hair is cottony/wiry and grows into a matted mess. He constantly gets burrs in it and stuff, so we keep it short.
Here's my issue:
What do you do with the underchin? it looks a bit longer, but I never get to see what's under the chin on the yorkie's that have it. How do you cut this? I just shaved Derby's basically because I couldn't seem to get the side profile to look right if I didn't cut under the chin. however! from the front it looks a bit silly.
Also, I let Derby's side grow on his face, and it seems that they are trimmed in this. any thoughts?
