In a few more weeks, the eggs will be hatching and they'll be hunting for their young. They get very aggressive then. Worse, they intentionally don't kill so the young get the practice back in the nest. It's bad enough for wild rabbits, squirrels and the like - but it is especially horrible to contemplate for our pampered babies.

If you know they're around, be very careful.
