I agree, I have a very hard time believing that a vet okayed such a young puppy without full innoculations to go for a mile run! If that really happened, you need to get another vet.

I'm also pretty surprised that a puppy that young was able to stay focused enough to run for a mile. When I walk puppies, they are either going in every direction at once, or laying down for a nap in the middle of the sidewalk.

ANYWAY, the reason I am posting is to say that I have never been able to tire Thor out, even on rigorous six mile hikes. He loves running up the trail, back to slow ol' me, then back up, then back down... and then when we get home, he wants to play. So I really think it depends on the dog. I've been thinking about starting regular jogging with him. Of course, I will keep an eye on him and make sure he's not over-fatigued, has enough water, etc.
