They should only charge you an emergency fee for right now and then add on tests cost when they are made. What are his symptoms? Could be hyplycemia - if he is young. Was he eating right? Did you keep food down all the time for him? Other question is - did your breeder test him for liver shunts before you got him? I would stay at the vets - do not leave him. They will see him faster if you do.
