Let me just say it hacks me off that you would say we are insensitive. Nothing was wrong with people showing frustration with Pit Bulls. When IN FACT everyone offered their concern and prayers FIRST!
I even started a thread about a neighbors Pit and how he is always loose and he came towards my husband. I believe, they can not be trusted. You can cuddle your Pit Bull all day long, but dont expect me and others to like them.
I have seen first hand the damage of a Pit, I know someone who is missing part of their hand! I am a full time Pet Sitter who has TRIED to work with the breed. I dont believe there is a more kind Pet Sitter in my area who has tried MORE than me. I made the decision to no longer try to work with them because they are aggressive.
Do your homework, the majority of deaths by dog attacks is by a Pit and Rott. I also know the majority of bites are by small dogs. I know you say, Pits can also can be sweet dogs, I have heard you say it. BUT, I still dont trust them. So, keep them on a leash and in their own back yard. They have no right running free.
I honestly pray, I honestly care, and I honestly do no like Pit Bulls. Don't insinuate my opinion for the breed is lack of sensitivity on my part. Very rude! |
i agree 100% with you. My mentally handicapped son lives in a supported living home with two other special needs guys. Recently, I drove up to see him for a visit. I parked my car and got out. IMMEDIATELY, I was surrounded by four pit bulls. They all came over to greet me. I stood still and finally the owner called them off. Can you imagine what would have happened if one of those handicapped people had been out?
