During 8-11 weeks, there is a Fear Imprint Period in puppies. You should avoid stressful situations during this period. Anything traumatic that happens to them during this time will have a long lasting effect on their socialization. It's another one of the many reasons here in the US reputable breeders keep puppies until they are 12 weeks old.
