I don't normally interfere with what people do with their animals, but last year I was walking back to my car when I noticed a guy in his early 20's or so sitting with his dog outside the car waiting for his GF to come out of the store. It was in the 90's ... HOT. He kept pushing the dog's rump down, saying "I said SIT". The dog would immediately rise to a 3/4 "sit". I apologized for interrupting, then pointed out that the unneutered beastie was being asked to put his not-so-inconsiderable package of 'nads on a VERY hot parking lot. I asked him if he thought he could put his bare foot there for long, let alone his .....
He looked thunderstruck - he had never even considered it. He thanked me, then the dog went into the backseat with the door open. He was willing to "sit" there
