My parents just finished a home with 80% hardwood floors. I would not recommend it..Lola is only 11-12# and she has scratched their floors ALOT! I hear about it every time I'm over there.."Your dog needs her nails cut...she scratching the floor"...even with her nail cut to the shortest length possible..the floor is still ruined...

Not sure if real wood compared to the fake wood makes a difference??
