It's a great example of why collars can be so risky in additional to the other "common sense" reasons already mentioned here.
What happened to your baby is raising awareness of something that can happen in the flash of an eye and could have ended with a horrible outcome.
We never use collars, we use a harness and their tags are on the harness!
