I will keep your mom in my thoughts and prayers. Please don't get upset with this post but I think you really need to talk to your mom and find out what type of tumor this was. As an older member of this group (and a nurse)I can't tell you how important it is to have this information. Every one is looking at family history-who married who, where they were born, when they died-but it is also very important to have an accurate family medical history. My brother and I have just spent a lot of time gathering this info for our family and believe me it was very difficult but amazing to find all the history of breast ca in our family. We started gathering this history when my younger sister was diagnosed 12 yrs ago at age 42. p.s she is doing great and keeps up with her screenings. Good luck to your mom.
