You know, if you go to my local shelter's site, there's no mention of HSUS. You would think there would be if the guidelines were anything more than an advisory put out by HSUS.
Cindy, i tried the link about Alex but there's not much there. I assume you're talking about Alex, the African Grey. He was an awesome bird but died too young. I think he was around 26 when he died and a Grey's life span is 60 - 80 years.
