Welcome to Yorkietalk, I'm so glad you found a breeder that follows the YTCA guidelines of a minimum of 12 weeks; so many breeders just want to follow state law, which is often 8 weeks, and doesn't take into account the needs of the toy breeds. I agree with cslat1 (Carol) and it is like bringing home a baby, get your sleep now, it may be interrupted for the next three or so months. What an exciting time, one of the best things I did was buy a pack of receiving blankets, and let the breeder rub each blanket over mama. I kept the blankets in a bag, and if he'd soil one, I was able to wash it and put it in the bag with the other "scented" blankets, I really think this helped him adjust to our house.
