I didn't realize that that was the same thing. The vet told me that the sun should never set on pyrometra, but she would not survive the operation. I asked my regular vet about spaying her a couple of years ago, but they said she was too old, and the risks outweighed the benefits, so I didn't do it, I wish I had.
