If you don't use the "Plus" version you're not killing the eggs. It only kills the adult fleas & ticks. Also bathe your dog first then apply. If bathe you're dog afterward you're diluting the medicine and it's not as effective. I heard "Sentinel" is effective too, but not sure if it wks after your dog gets fleas. Good Luck!
