I have a coworker that has an akc (non yorkie)toy breed. He thinks that he can get a lot of money for puppies and wants to breed her, but in these hard times I really don't think he can. I have been looking to adopt a yorkie or silky since the loss of mine and I search rescue sites, so I know that there are so many unwanted good dogs out there. Am I wrong for trying to convince him not to breed the dog? If I am not, how do I convince him not to breed her and just have her spayed, which he is actually considering? My yorkie died partly because she was not spayed so I feel like I need to help convince him to get her spayed.
