I have an African Grey, Boogie, she's now 9 yrs old and got her when she was just 10 mths old. She came first, so she ruled the roost until the Yorkies started coming in. That was 6 yrs ago. She speaks quite a lot, barks like the yorks, then she'll say ''Chut'' be quiet. Imitates the phone, will actually carry on a conversation; hello how are you, is that so, goodby. Or she'll sing whathever caught her fancy on the radio that day. Our dogs slowly got used to not chasing her when she flew off and generally tolerate her when she is walking around on the floor.
So all in all, it's been a good experience and would never give any of them up for anything. |
