I'm not going to get into the neuter part b/c that is a personal decision after research of the pros and cons.
He'll have to be under anyway for the dental, and that really does need to be done or it can just lead to more serious issues. Propofol and Iso is a great protocol. Do you know if they place an IV and use a heat source to keep them warm?
If he is only around six months old, you may be able to wait awhile to see if the teeth come out on their own if you just aren't ready to do this...I can't say what I'd do in your case b/c I can't even imagine.
