I thought the potty patch was a great idea for my little Zoey! We went to the pet store and bought it. I took it home, set it up and let my curious pup examine it. I told her it was potty and she got all excited, sniffed it, picked up the "grass" and ran around the house with it! she did it more than once and when she wasn't running with the grass she was chewing the plastic! The basin that would hold the pee was so shallow, I decided to forget this idea and go back to wee wee pads. Zoey can't go outside to pee because we have places that she could get out of the yard if she tried hard enough. I walk her most of the time when the weather is fair enough to not upset my asthma. Wee wee pads work the best for me, I did find something that held a wee wee pad, maybe I'll give that a try next time...
